Withdrawal

Withdrawing from courses can only be done after Drop/Add period has ended. It is strongly recommended students consult with their instructor, mentor and a Financial Aid advocate before doing this. Withdrawals affect SAP status, repayment of unearned financial aid, HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship, Pell Grant and other aid on a short- and long-term basis.

NS

No show. This attribute is assigned by instructors early in the semester to designate students who have never attended class but who are still on the official Banner roll for the course. NS students are eventually removed from the roll by the Registrar.

Grizz

The GGC chatbot that sends important information and reminders via text messaging. Grizz also responds to questions submitted via text and through the Ask Grizz web bot on the GGC website.

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. This federal law protects students’ educational records and regulates with whom that information is shared. If you wish your parents or other parties to have access to your grades and other educational records, you need to file a FERPA exception with the Registrar’s Office.
