Adobe Creative Cloud

The Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection of programs that include specialized and industry-standard software used in graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, and more. The Adobe Creative Cloud also offers web-based and mobile access, along with optional cloud-based project storage services.

Creative Cloud Access

Faculty / Staff: Available with approved requests.

Faculty members who require students to have Adobe Creative Cloud access for their classroom can submit a request for student Adobe Creative Cloud access. The Adobe Creative Cloud automatically removes approved requests at the end of each semester. Adobe Creative Cloud Pro will continue to be available to students and instructors on lectern computers, classroom computers, computer labs, and student checkout laptops.

Faculty and staff can request access to the Adobe Creative Cloud on personal devices. For the request to be accepted, a business rationale must be provided as licenses are limited. Faculty and staff also have access to Adobe Express which can offer some of the same features without the hassle of learning new software.

Frequently Asked Questions

CC is the acronym for Creative Cloud. Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe CC refer to the same platform. The Adobe Creative Cloud license is only available for faculty and staff through request. However, all students have access to Adobe Express, both from home and on campus, using their GGC credentials. Adobe Express is like other online design platforms and is integrated into the Adobe ecosystem, allowing some features of notable programs like Photoshop to be included. Find out more about Adobe Express by visiting our Adobe Express page.

GGC does not directly offer licenses to students outside of our open computer labs and semester-based requests from faculty. However, students are eligible to purchase a discounted Adobe Creative Cloud subscription directly from Adobe.

When using this method, you will use your GGC email to provide Adobe with proof of eligibility for its student license.

No. All computers on campus have the ability to view and share PDF files without needing to request specific access to any software. If your document does not contain sensitive or personal information, you can edit PDFs using Adobe Express. You can visit our knowledge base article on how to convert from PDF in Adobe Express. While you can create fillable forms in Adobe Acrobat Pro CC, you only need Adobe Acrobat Pro if:

  • You require that your form be a PDF.
  • You need the document workflow of Adobe Sign inside of Adobe Acrobat Pro CC to ensure all signatures are legally binding.

Please keep in mind you may also create fillable forms in Microsoft Word.
