Microsoft 365 (M365) delivers Microsoft’s most popular applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in one easy-to-manage service. At Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC), M365 is directly integrated into Claw Mail and can be installed on up to five (5) personal devices, allowing you to work on any platform to collaborate on notes, assignments, projects, and more.

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word is a word‑processing application used to create, edit, and format documents such as essays, reports, and assignments. Word also makes it easy to share documents and collaborate with classmates and instructors in real time, supporting feedback and group work.

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application used to organize, analyze, and manage data. Built‑in features, formulas, and functions allow users to calculate results, identify trends, and work efficiently with large sets of information. Excel also makes it easy to visualize data using charts and tables, helping students and faculty present information clearly and make data‑driven decisions.

Microsoft Powerpoint

Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation application used to create slideshows for classes, projects, and meetings. It allows users to combine text, images, charts, and multimedia to communicate ideas clearly and visually. PowerPoint supports collaboration, making it easy to share presentations and work with classmates or colleagues.

Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook is an email and calendar application used to manage messages, schedules, and contacts. It helps users stay organized by providing tools for scheduling meetings, setting reminders, and managing tasks. Outlook supports efficient communication and coordination across academic and administrative activities.

Microsoft OneDrive

OneDrive is a cloud‑based storage service that allows users to store, access, and share files securely from any device. It makes collaboration easy by enabling real‑time file sharing and version tracking. OneDrive helps ensure important documents are backed up and available whenever they are needed.

Microsoft Copilot

Copilot Chat is Microsoft’s AI-powered chat platform for searching for information, creating content, and communicating with others. It can be accessed in many ways, but the simplest may be through the app launcher in the upper left corner of Claw Mail in your internet browser.

Microsoft Copilot is protected by enterprise-grade data security features, ensuring that prompts and responses are encrypted, access-controlled, and never used to train AI models. When signed in with your GGC credentials, Copilot respects institutional privacy policies and safeguards your data under Microsoft’s Data Protection Addendum and compliance standards.

Azure Dev Tools

The Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching program is available to Georgia Gwinnett College faculty, staff, and students. Azure Dev Tools for Teaching offers select additional licensing for software applications such as Visio Professional 2021, Microsoft R Server, and Project Professional to assist in instructional and research tasks. The software may be installed on personal devices.

In addition to providing access to software applications, the program offers resources for exploring careers, professional development opportunities, and up $100 in credits to build in the cloud free with Azure for Students every 12 months. Access to the program is provided via your GGC Account.
