Network and Printing DRAFT
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
A virtual private network (VPN) creates a secure, encrypted connection between your device and another network over the internet. It helps protect your data by masking online activity and reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
How VPN Is Used at GGC
The GGC VPN allows students and employees to securely connect to the campus network from off campus. Some GGC systems and services require VPN access when used remotely
VPN supports safe access to files, systems, and resources while working or studying outside campus
Using VPN helps ensure your data remains secure when accessing GGC resources from remote locations, such as home or public networks.
Network Printing (Claw Print)
Multifunction printing, copying, and scanning Ricoh devices are available to GGC employees and students at specific locations across the campus. These multifunction devices are jointly managed and supported by Information Technology and Auxiliary Services.
Printing for Students
Students must have Cave Cash loaded on their Claw Card in order to print. The cost of printing is $0.10 per page for black and white and $0.25 per page for color printing.
Printing for Staff
GGC Ricoh Secure Printing is a GGC provided service used by employees to print, copy and scan documents. When printing sensitive or private data select printers that are located in secure locations.
