The GGC Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) Student Chapter empowers student leadership, creates opportunities to network into paid internships, jobs, and careers, and offers access to scholarship programs. School of Business Torch Team Ambassadors Program
The School of Business (SBA) Torch Team is made up of SBA students selected through a formal annual recruitment process that occurs twice a year. All members of the SBA Torch Team are volunteers who will benefit from interactions with SBA faculty, staff and external partners (i.e. alumni, Board of Visitors members and Corporate Affiliates Program members). The members of the SBA Torch Team are a professional, enthusiastic and hard-working group of leaders who volunteer their time and energy in support of the SBA mission. In conjunction with the overall goals of the SBA, the SBA Torch Team will prepare its members for professional careers after they graduate from GGC. Members must be in academic good standing and active during the fall and spring semester. The SBA Torch Team members work under the supervision of the Business Relationship Coordinator. Their goals are as follows:
- To serve as liaisons from the SBA student body to the administrative team and provide feedback on areas of improvement and opportunity
- To engage the SBA (and overall GGC) student population by helping facilitate and promote SBA organized programs and initiatives
- To represent the SBA to prospective students through organized recruitment initiatives
- To represent the SBA at other major college and community events

Honor Societies
Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world. Inducted as students, BGS members go on to serve in critical leadership roles in corporate, entrepreneurial, government, non-profit, and academic sectors. Members currently reside in all 50 U. Omicron Delta Epsilon: The International Honor Society for Economics
Membership into Omicron Delta Epsilon is reserved for students who are concentrating in economics, have completed 12 or more credit hours in economics, have at least a 3.0 GPA in their economics courses, and at least a 3.0 GPA overall. All inductees must also be invited by the GGC economics faculty to join. The society's primary purposes are to recognize outstanding scholarship in economics and to establish closer ties between economics students and faculty, both within GGC and beyond.
