About School of Business

The School of Business programs provide tomorrow’s leaders with knowledge and skills necessary to become lifelong learners, successful members of the workforce and engaged citizens.

Theory and practice come together in the curriculum, which uses real-world challenges to develop an understanding of the societal, organizational and individual impacts of business decisions. In addition to basic business principles and practices, the program emphasizes and integrates technological innovation, ethics and social responsibility, and internationalization.

Articulation Agreements
Any students who successfully complete all requirements for the Associate of Science (AS) in General Business degree program at Gwinnett Technical College (GTC), and who is otherwise eligible for admission will, upon application, be accepted at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) and may transfer the credits from the AS in General Business to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program at GGC’s School of Business. Note: only the AS in General Business degree program at GTC is acceptable for this articulation program. No other degree program, diploma or certificate from GTC, be it business or another discipline, is covered.

Students graduating with a Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree will be automatically admitted to the Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program at Kennesaw State University (KSU) if they meet the following criteria:
Satisfies KSU Graduate College Admission Requirements
- Provides resume / vita
- Provides statement of purpose
- Provides two letters of recommendation
- Has overall GPA of 2.75 or higher from GGC

ROTC
The School also sponsors the military science leadership courses offered through the Reserve Officer Training Program (ROTC) program.
Centers and Institutes
The mission of the Business, Economic and Applied Research (BEAR) Center is to support the local business community with economic and business-related research and analysis as well as provide outreach services, including statistical and other business-related training. The BEAR Center is also committed to furthering the mission of the School of Business by fostering continuous improvement in scholarship and in student engagement.

The Center for Emerging Business Entrepreneurship (CEBE) provides GGC students with guidance and exposure regarding practical issues in business ventures. The CEBE coordinates its activities through various stakeholders to create and sustain an ecosystem of services for emerging businesses, entrepreneurship and business development. The CEBE leverages these collective experiences to support student engagement, learning and collaborative research activities. The CEBE also supports the Young Entrepreneurs’ Network registered student organization.

The Center for International Business and Exchange (CIBE) was established to interface with the international business community and to provide interested GGC students with information regarding international business issues, ranging from studies abroad to career options. It establishes relationships with corporate entities and exchange opportunities with colleges and universities abroad. Additionally, the Center has been responsible for planning and executing the School of Business education abroad program, allowing students to experience intellectual and personal growth through an integrated international educational experience.
